Art Show at Vassar college

Miranda's paper mache bird was on display at "A Celebration of Children's Art" hosted by the Department of Education at Vassar College in the James W. Palmer III '90 Gallery this past week. We also saw creations by her friends Lindsey, Soleil, Kiley and Kelly on display at the Art Show. All the kids did a wonderful job on their projects. They are very creative.





After visiting the Art Show, Matthew wanted to take some time to play with his Leapster while taking in the sights at Vassar.

Jump Rope for Heart

Miranda and her friend entered in the Jump rope for heart fund raiser after school on Friday. While Miranda and her friend were jumping, I took the time to test out my new Nikon D700 that can take pictures in low light without flash.







When they were done, the school raised over $3000.00 for the American Heart Association.

Miranda's Birthday - Part one

We started the night with dinner at UNO's pizza. Miranda's choice.



A little Tic-Tac-Toe to pass the time while waiting for dinner.

Game of pool anyone?
After dinner we headed home to open the presents.
Matthew got Miranda 6 pounds of Legos from ebay. Such a deal. 6 Pounds is a lot of Legos.


A dictionary, what do I do with that?
The rest of the night was spend playing with the Legos. Miranda made the cool car up front. Dad made the strange thing in the back.

What do you do when you only get 1/2" of snow and the kids want to play.



You plow the backyard of course.









Almost enough for a snowman.



More then enough to make snow angels.

First Snoow - December 6, 2009

Miranda and Matt woke up to the first snow today. Miranda got started on a snowman and some snow surfing. Matt got out his tractor and started with some snow removal. That lasted about 10 seconds and then he decided to join in on the snow surfing.









Dad walked around the back yard and took some snow and ice pictures.
